This slideshow reflects aspects of my journey through sub-Saharan Africa in the spring of 2006. While on assignment for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, directing films about the impact of HIV/AIDS, I took over 500 photographs.

In October 2007, Walrus Magazine online presented a photo essay by Liz Marshall entitled A Portrait of HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa. Walrus continues to feature the photo essay on their site on an ongoing basis.
