About Liz Marshall

Liz is an award-winning filmmaker whose intimate and stylised documentaries have taken her around the globe to explore social justice issues pertaining to censorship, war-affected children, globalization, sweatshop labour, refugees, HIV/AIDS, and gender. She has worked in partnership with NGOs War Child Canada, PEN Canada, Right To Play, the Stephen Lewis Foundation, and Plan Canada.

Liz has contributed to television channels Bravo!, MuchMusic, BookTelevision, CBC, MTV, the Independent Film Channel, and others.

She has been making short arts-based films, music videos and music documentaries for the last 12 years, and she is also a passionate (and published) 35mm stills photographer.
